LUNCH & LEARN:
Under the Christmas Tree of Yesteryear:
An Exploration of Antique & Vintage Toys

Historian Sally Young presents on the history of Christmas toys, using many examples from the museum’s collection. Attendees are encouraged to bring a Christmas toy from their own past to the program if they wish. ​

The presentation will be 11:30 am - 1:00 pm.
At each luncheon, the History Center will provide a sandwich, beverage, chips, and cookie to attendees.
The cost is $15 per person, or $10 for members.

LET YOUR LEGACY LIGHTS SHINE THROUGHOUT THE HOLIDAY SEASON
The Chippewa Area History Center is honored to carry on the tradition of
the St. Joseph's Love Lights program.
Lights can be purchased through the end of December.

THE TRADITION OF LOVE LIGHTS:
The inaugural lighting ceremony (held December 7, 1988) featured a Christmas prayer and caroling by the Chi-Hi Madrigal Singers. Almost 500 lights were dedicated the first year, 329 in memory of departed friends and family, and 163 in honor of living individuals and families. The tradition would stretch 36 years in total, until the hospital’s last set was lighted in 2023 before the closing of St. Joseph’s in April 2024.​
